The story of Magnus the Red is perhaps more tragic than that of all other sons of the Emperor who succumbed to Chaos. He was punished for his pursuit of knowledge, severely reprimanded, condemned and even split into his constituent elements, so the Scarlet King has many reasons to seek revenge. However, it was not only for the sake of retribution that he joined the armies of the Warmaster besieging Terra. Magnus is looking for the missing piece of his essence, one of its fragments, which is contained in the most impregnable fortress on the planet - in the inner dungeon of the Imperial Palace. As the greatest conflict of many ages draws to a frantic climax, the Crimson King wages his own secret battle. To become whole again, he must not only overcome his fiercest defenses, but also face the one whom he loves and hates with equal fervor above all others: his lost father, the Master of Mankind.
