The Great Pacific Garbage Patch - a million square kilometers of plastic in which the propeller of any ship will get stuck - as a result of a global environmental project, has been moved to the point farthest from land in the world's oceans. Point Nemo - as these coordinates are commonly called - becomes a modern cemetery for lost ships and a home for their crews. Passengers of luxury yachts and illegal refugees, sailors from dry cargo ships and even the crew of a destroyer are left without communication with the outside world and hope of getting out of the garbage trap. They are forced to build a new one from the waste of the old civilization.
