During his dizzying creative career, which lasted only twelve years, Robert E. Howard single-handedly invented an entire literary movement, which soon came to be called the genre of “sword and sorcery.” The writer’s rich imagination gave birth to perhaps the most enduring literary heroes. And although Conan of Cimmeria is undoubtedly Howard's greatest creation, there were other great heroes in his works, among them Bran Mak Morn, the last king of a doomed people.
