Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi (1879–1950) is one of the greatest spiritual Teachers, who at the age of 16 spontaneously achieved Enlightenment, or Self-realization, awareness of his true Self. In our time, his teaching serves as an inspiring example of the Path of Knowledge indicated earlier by the sages Upanishads, Buddha (563-483 BC) and Shankara (788-820). The Maharshi wrote very little. He taught mainly through the enormous energy of Spiritual Silence. Almost everything he wrote is a response to the requests of some of his students, satisfying their spiritual needs. The book presents works of various genres - prose, poetry, dialogues and songs.
