The genre of the book is a journalistic monograph with artistic inserts and elements psychological thriller. The book reveals the protagonist's career in a strange IT company (the so-called Factory), where social experiments are carried out. The inner world of the protagonist and his soul-searching are also described. The book is dedicated to the IT industry, namely work in 1C. It talks about the pitfalls of working as a 1C programmer, the pros, cons, how to choose a good employer, get a high salary and distinguish real growth and development in the profession from fictional ones.
