It’s an amazing thing - for most of his life, traveling around Russia and other countries was part of the author’s professional duties, because for several decades he worked as a journalist in various youth publications, mainly in the magazine “Around the World” - and in positions from an ordinary employee to editor-in-chief. Well, he began collecting all the most interesting things about the world and its peoples and nature from childhood, for which he was nicknamed “a search fan” at school. This book is only part of what the author managed to collect during his work in print and travel around the world. Much that does not fit on the pages of periodicals and books has gone into speeches and lectures on radio and TV and stored on the Internet.
