Hector Hugh Munro (1870-1916) - English writer, journalist and publicist, one of the founders of the literature of "black humor". His short satirical stories - grotesque, sometimes absurd, sometimes mystical - he published under the pseudonym Saki (which in Farsi means "cupbearer"). A well-honed phrase, slightly cynical irony in the spirit of O. Wilde, and plots reminiscent of the plots of O. Henry's stories brought the writer immense popularity.
