Paris, 1944. The dark years of the German occupation had just ended. Young, but already quite well-known to the public, Edith Piaf is preparing to present a new program at the legendary Moulin Rouge. However, the authorities suddenly charged the singer with collaboration and, it seems, are ready to impose a ban on her performances. Trying to prove his innocence, Piaf nevertheless continues rehearsals, simultaneously looking for performers “to warm up.” This is how she meets Yves Montand, a young and still unknown singer. Edith begins to work with Yves, developing and improving his talent. Soon, a bright and strong feeling flares up between colleagues on stage, from which they both draw inspiration, leading them to the pinnacle of success.
