They are here. They are close. Sometimes at arm's length. They're watching us. They are always at the start. Their hunger is insatiable. And only the fragile Barrier of Balance between the almost merged parallels holds back the hordes of otherworldly creatures. Alas, sometimes breakthroughs happen, and then the last barrier between people and monsters becomes teams of clairvoyants. Accepted as a trainee into one of these teams, freshman Sergei Kapustin, by order of his superiors, begins a search for his escaped ally Marina, a former fiend, a fragment of whose dark soul, by chance, a long spent time “staying” in the body of trainee Kapustin. In the end, Sergei turns out to be a useless detective, but the guy makes an excellent bait. The hunter imperceptibly turns into the victim himself, and begins to play by the rules of the dark entity. The adventure continues.
