The Barquentine Pilgrim is a search and rescue starship designed to protect those who encounter hostile magic in space. Its crew consists of people with unusual abilities. The Barquentine “Pilgrim” is urgently sent to the distant planet Agoris, in whose orbit the passenger airliner “Bolivar-57” is in distress. Having successfully removed people from board the dying liner, the Barquentine lands on the planet to disembark the passengers and immediately after that return to Earth. However, subsequent events disrupt these plans: one after another, crew members begin to disappear. Meanwhile, the local population fears the Battle of the Dragon's Children, a terrible catastrophe that threatens to destroy the only continent on the planet. The Temples of Light and Darkness are playing a dangerous game, trying to find their fighter among the aliens and ensure his victory. The half-drunk mad king is weaving intrigues. And now Light and Darkness themselves enter into a struggle for the future or the death of Agoris, in which members of the Barquentine crew are involved.
