The books of the then unknown Ernst Henry, published in the mid-1930s, predicted the Second World War and Hitler's defeat in a clash with the Soviet Union. Contrary to existing “attitudes” and stereotypes, they sounded a passionate call for the unity of all anti-fascist forces. Initially published in England, the books were translated into many languages and brought the author worldwide fame. Only a narrow circle knew who was hiding behind the pseudonym “Ernst Henry.” In our country, E. Henry’s books, especially “Hitler against the USSR” (published in 1937 and 1938, and also in 1941 - in abbreviation), up to still remain in the memory of the older generation. The patterns of the emergence of fascism and its path to power revealed in them, the analysis of the authoritarian reactionary regime do not lose their relevance, because they are applicable to events not only of the past era. As well as the idea of the need to unite all forces, regardless of their nationality, capable of resisting any attempts to destroy democratic rights and freedoms. The book was prepared for the 100th anniversary of the author’s birth. The edition has been corrected and expanded.
