The book is dedicated to one of the most prominent politicians of France of the 19th century, a prominent representative of French liberalism, Adolphe Thiers. Having suppressed the Paris Commune in 1871, Thiers gained fame for many years as a Bloody Dwarf, a cruel and merciless reactionary, and therefore no serious scientific study of his views and political activities was carried out in Russia. The proposed work, for the first time in Russian historiography, is an attempt to show the evolution of the views and political activities of Adolphe Thiers as a representative of French liberalism in the first half of the 19th century. For a wide range of readers interested in the history of France, political regimes, social thought and social history.
