In the north of the Tomsk region there is an island, the Khanty always called it Hare, but over time the harmless name was forgotten, and the island began to be called Nazino after the name of a nearby village, and since the thirties it has been called the Island of Death. This is the famous Hungry Island. In 1933, special settlers from the central cities of the country were unloaded onto the island - hungry, naked, destitute, without providing them with any means of subsistence. Unhappy people have lost their human appearance, giving rise to a tragic story that should not be repeated.
