Having buried his father and inherited his clinic for the mentally ill, Alex realizes that he is not ready to continue the family business, and is in a hurry to put the clinic up for sale. But the old mansion, surrounded by swamps and hidden from the world behind a curtain of Spanish moss, keeps its secrets and, once opening the doors for Alex, does not intend to let him go. But will the mansion be able to protect the new owner when the one who lives as a recluse in a small room under the very roof finally tells her story?
