Description: On New Year's Eve everyone wants a fairy tale. Magical, unexpected, exciting! Definitely with your favorite characters and beautiful illustrations. This is exactly what Valentina Degteva composed and illustrated by Alexander Shatokhin. And she talks about the meeting of Santa Claus and... Yeti. These two have never met, although they have a lot in common. Bigfoot loves snow, and so does Santa Claus. One has a white fluffy fur coat, and the other has a white fluffy beard. The snowman tries not to catch anyone's eye, and Santa Claus secretly puts gifts under the tree. But Santa Claus loves cheerful holidays, and Bigfoot lives alone in an ice house and hates turmoil. But the day came when these two switched places. Why did they do this and what came of it? Will the yeti be able to deliver gifts? safe and sound, if the candies are so tasty, and the children are so mischievous? For children over 5 years old and their parents For everyone who is waiting for Santa Claus Features of the book - A funny story about winter miracles - Vivid illustrations - The author is a laureate and the winner of numerous awards - Fun and non-scary adventures - A story about how to melt the ice in the heart of the Bigfoot How to use a book Read, look at pictures, come up with your own adventures for the characters and draw your own illustrations. From the author There is a lot of cold stuff in this story - snowflakes, icicles, pieces of ice and snowdrifts. And even a whole snowman. Therefore, you can read it both in winter (for mood) and in summer (for cooling). But there is a lot of warm stuff there: lights, lanterns, felt boots and socks. And most importantly - the tender heart of Bigfoot, which he hides under a shaggy fur coat. Therefore, it is worth reading both when you are sad (it will become more fun) and when it is very fun (so as not to jump to the ceiling, but to sit quietly with a book - mothers will appreciate it!) I rolled the “snowball” of this plot in my head for two whole years: I wanted each the snowflake and icicle sparkled in their place, and the book took its place on the shelf of my favorite New Year's stories. From the artist The book hooked me immediately. As soon as I saw that it was about the Yeti, I immediately understood: I would draw it (even before the illustrator’s approval). And then, in the process of reading, I began to recognize myself in this Yeti and completely fell in love with the story. Therefore, we worked cheerfully and without problems. Everything came together: cool text, interesting characters, humor. About the authors Valentina Degteva is an author and screenwriter, winner of numerous literary awards, among of which “Book of the Year”, “Alice” (dedicated to the memory of Kir Bulychev), “Golden Pen of Rus'”. Winner of the New Children's Book competition. She has written more than 15 children's books and more than 200 scripts. She teaches writing courses for children, book clubs, and lectures on classical literature. Hobby: puppet theater. He likes to come up with bright, characteristic characters that ask to be on the theater stage, and stories that you can play with pleasure. Alexander Shatokhin was born in Blagoveshchensk, Amur region, but as a child he moved with his parents to Ukraine, to the city of Sumy, where he lives. Graduated from the Pedagogical Institute. I always dreamed of becoming an artist. She considers art school to be the most important thing in her studies, and the most important thing that her teachers gave her was a love of drawing. Favorite technique is watercolor. IN In 2019, he received the Grand Prix of the “Book Inside” competition from the Samokat publishing house. In 2020 he became a laureate of the International Competition "Image of a Book". In 2021, he won the international Jasnowidze competition from the Polish publishing house Dwie Siostry. Source:
