In the new biography of Sergei Sergeevich Prokofiev (1891–1953), the creative path of the brilliant Russian composer is shown in inextricable unity with his emotional, religious, political searches, with attempts to create a domestic analogue of Wagner’s “complete work of art,” and his literary talent, to Unfortunately, it is still underestimated, as an interesting refraction of the same searches. The author of the biography, poet and cultural historian Igor Vishnevetsky, presented his hero in different guises, creating a little similar to the previous ones, but at the same time a voluminous and truthful portrait of our glorious compatriot in the context of a tragic era.
