The only source of knowledge about the personality of the Apostle Paul is the Epistles addressed to the various Christian communities he founded. Although the attribution of most of them is currently not associated with the name of the apostle, nevertheless, six of them can be considered reliable. The main motivation for this book was an attempt to understand the personal psychological circumstances that determined Paul's aspirations. The only materials on the basis of which one could try to do this are reliable Messages. The book is a process of reading the Messages, accompanied along the way by notes “about”, comments, and associations. It is in no way a narrow scientific or theological treatise. The appendices provide an example of the reconstruction of Paul's Epistle to the Galatians, proposed by V. Wahlberg based on the research of G. Detering and others, as well as extracts from the Dead Sea Scrolls, considered one of the sources for the formation of ideas of the early Christianity.
