The monograph is dedicated to a very interesting period in the history of Russian painting - the beginning of the tenth years of our century. This is the time when painters M. Larionov, N. Goncharova, V. Burliuk, V. Kandinsky, P. Konchalovsky, A. Kuprin, A. Lentulov, I. Mashkov, R. Falk and others organized exhibitions “Jack of Diamonds”, “ Donkey’s Tail”, “Target”, which caused lively debate.
