Fifteen thousand years ago they terrified the entire Galaxy. Like a cosmic plague, they spread through space, capturing planet after planet and rebuilding them to suit their needs, and their inhabitants (whether intelligent or not), if any came their way, were simply processed into biomass for their needs. Only the Galactic Imperium managed to stop them in an apocalyptic battle in which hundreds of worlds burned to the ground. Their home planet was destroyed by a cyclone torpedo, but for almost fifty years after that, the Imperial Navy combed the Galaxy in search of surviving hives. And it seemed that they remained only in the annals of history and in the archival video files of xenologists. But... after one and a half hundred centuries they returned to take revenge from the Imperium for their defeat and for the almost complete extermination of their race. Now they have become smarter and more deadly, and their hatred for all intelligent inhabitants of the Galaxy has become even deeper.
