Here there are old patriarchal foundations and a respectable society leading a measured lifestyle. Lais, a young widow, became accustomed to his routine. After the death of her husband, all her worries come down to raising children and managing a small estate. But then a silent stranger, wrapped in a black cloak, appears on the threshold of her house, an applicant for the position of fencing teacher for her son.
