This story is based on real events that began back in 1908, when a Cossack convoy accompanying the annual gold mining from the Bodaibinsky mines was forced to change its usual route to the Lena to an unknown path through the mysterious North Muisky ridge. The travelers had to go through many adventures, fighting off bandits and finding their way through the unexplored wilds... The story of the lost gold became a local legend in a small taiga village, which almost ceased to be believed after all the events that befell Russia in the 20th century. But a series of tragic and mysterious incidents again reminded of its existence.
