The collection “Letters from the Royal Family from Imprisonment” recalls the tragic event - on the night of July 16-17, 1918, the royal family and their servants, who were under arrest in Yekaterinburg, were shot by decision of the Ural Regional Council of Workers', Peasants' and Soldiers' Deputies. What the members of the royal family wanted to say to their loved ones in the last months of their lives was reflected in their letters that broke through to freedom. Many representatives of the White movement, who took the oath of allegiance to the emperor in the Russian Empire, did not renounce it even in exile. They carefully kept letters that, by hook or by crook, reached their relatives and friends from members of the royal family who were under arrest. These letters were carefully collected and published. “Letters from the Royal Family from Imprisonment” is a book published in 1974 by the Orthodox Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville (USA). It includes personal letters and other materials from the last seventeen months of the royal family’s earthly journey. Author-compiler of “Letters from the Royal Family from Imprisonment” E.E. Alferyev, a professor at the Holy Trinity Theological Seminary, put not only his strength, but also his soul into this publication. The publishing layout of the book is saved in PDF A4 format.
