The book by the famous French journalist and political scientist Thierry Meyssan is devoted to the study of the phenomenon of the “Arab Spring”. This is the name given to the chain of “color revolutions” that shook the Arab world and led to the change of a number of governments. A proponent of the theory that there is a "deep state" in the United States, that is, a coordinated group of government officials influencing public policy without regard to democratically elected leadership, Meyssan traces its role in Middle East politics and the interests it seeks to achieve. Now the terrorist attack of September 11 appears in in a different light, being the starting point for subsequent events. At the same time, the decisive role of some European states, such as England and France, in the Arab Spring is shown. The participation of these states in organizing the scenario in the Middle East is considered at different levels - from financial support of terrorist organizations to the creation of a controlled media space. 4th footnotes [] - are not in the source.
