Suvorin Boris Alekseevich (1879–1940) - Russian journalist, writer, publisher, participant in the White movement. Son of the famous journalist and publisher Alexei Suvorin. In the proposed book, first published in Paris in 1922, Suvorin talks about the initial period of the Volunteer Army - the founding, the first legendary Kuban campaign and the events from November 1917 to November 1918. In the preface he writes: “Let my reader not look in my essays on history or historical memoirs. I insist that these are only “impressions” of a journalist, a close witness of this, little known to readers, heroic era of the Volunteer Army, the feat of which will be appreciated someday much later... I hope that in my essays the reader will find only what I I promise him - only genuine impressions of a Russian person, to whom God sent great happiness to share the great trials to which Alekseev and Kornilov called us.”
