The author of the book is Colonel Bagirov Arif Mirbabaevich, Candidate of Military Sciences, Associate Professor, Professor of the Russian Academy of Military Sciences, who devoted 45 years of his life to service in the Strategic Missile Forces. This book, the memoirs of a rocket scientist, tells about the choice of profession and becoming an officer, about service in units and formations of the Strategic Missile Forces, about friends and colleagues, about teaching and training young officers.
