The work focuses on difficult teenagers undergoing treatment in a children's psychiatric hospital. Psychiatry is a complex science and the author does not try to describe its subtleties; it is more important for him to lift the veil over one of the “children’s problems”, talk about such children and hospitals, show the reader that sometimes reality in the power of perception can exceed the most twisted fantastic plot. The book touches on many pressing social issues: the problem of relationships between fathers and children, the indifference of society, the causes of child suicide and many others.
