English historian David Irving, having studied documents from Nazi Germany and secret British documents, reveals the ugly truth about one of the greatest naval disasters of the Second World War. On June 27, 1942, convoy PQ-17 left Iceland for Arkhangelsk with cargo of military equipment and fuel to support the USSR army. In his research, the author shows the true culprits of the death of the convoy, when unprotected, heavily loaded, clumsy ships were methodically destroyed by the enemy.
