Numerous difficulties and adventures befall the scouts before they set foot on the green shore of the subglacial Antarctica. Taking a risk, the fighters of the Vangola detachment, together with German anti-fascist engineers, carry out a successful operation to capture the village where a closed technical complex is located, working on the Chronos project. In subglacial Antarctica, Vangol meets with his wife Olga, who was previously embedded behind enemy lines. But moments of personal happiness fly by quickly - Vangol, who is fluent in German, has to, under the guise of Hauptmann Schwartz, go on an enemy submarine to the mainland to convey the intelligence received to the command. In this campaign, Vangol gives his life for the sake of Victory, trying to prevent the delivery of new chemical weapons with destructive power to the front.
