Paris, summer 1789. Countless crowds of people, armed with guns, as well as pikes, hammers, axes and clubs, flooded the streets adjacent to the Bastille, a military fortress and the main political prison of Paris. On July 14, the fortress garrison surrendered. In the following weeks, revolution broke out throughout the country. The rebels seized grain, took possession of local town halls, and burned documents stored there. The bloody days remained in memory under the name “Great Fear”... But no matter how great the ocean of anger and madness is, it will never stop the beating of loving hearts and the light of beloved eyes...
