The library of the project “History of the Russian State” is the best monuments of world literature recommended by Boris Akunin, which reflect the biography of our country, from its very origins. Ivan Dmitrievich Yakushkin (1793–1857) was one of the participants in the attempted coup in St. Petersburg in 1825. He refused to swear allegiance to Nicholas I, was arrested and sentenced to 25 years of hard labor and exile. In conclusion, he showed incredible perseverance and remained faithful to his ideals to the end. As part of the Semenovsky Guards Regiment, the future Decembrist participated in all major battles of 1812–1814. At the Battle of Borodino he was awarded the St. George Cross and a golden weapon for bravery, and for distinction during the foreign campaign of 1813 - the Order of St. Anne, 3rd degree and the Kulm Cross. “Notes” by I. D. Yakushkin is a valuable source on the history of the Decembrist uprising; they occupy one of the first places among the memoirs of participants in the Decembrist movement. The publishing design is preserved in PDF A4 format.
