In volume 2 of his memoirs, Fyodor Fedorovich Palitsyn describes the events from 1916 to 1921, from the moment of his appointment as a representative of Headquarters in the Military Council of the Allied Armies in France. Through his eyes we follow the actions of the Russian Expeditionary Force, the operations of the allies in France and Thessaloniki, the work of government agencies and military leaders of the British, French and American units. A revolution is taking place in Russia, the new government is conducting separate negotiations with Germany in Brest-Litovsk. The newly formed Poland, Ukraine, and the Baltic states are pursuing their own interests. Russia is falling apart. Russian generals Denikin, Kolchak, Wrangel cannot come to an agreement with their former Entente allies, and the United States is imposing its terms on peace negotiations on European politicians. Lloyd George, Woodrow Wilson, Clemenceau, Hindenburg - each plays his own game. People of different social status flash by, various emigrant organizations appear and disappear: there is uncertainty in everything. Europe, weakened after the Great War, is changing before our eyes. And in all this confusion, the Russian general is trying to look into the future of Russia. Published for the first time.
