“What am I doing here? How did you get here? What force pulled the two worlds towards each other and created a tunnel at the point where they touched? The main character of the story asks himself such questions. But the main question is different: does a person have the right to interfere in the life of someone else’s world if the structure of this world seems wrong to him: the ideals of humanism do not apply here, it is cruel and merciless, it is “wrong”, and he is already involving you in his life against your will. The age-old question of “contact”. Just to answer it, the characters in the story must first get out of this world. And this is by no means easy... The story was first published in the magazine “Chemistry and Life” in 1976.
