The book “Two perspectives of time in the history of Richard III (historical investigation with socionic comments)” by the Canadian writer and socionic psychologist Vera Stratievskaya is a unique work that combines the genres of fiction and popular science literature with deep historical, psychoanalytic and socionic research. And this is the first work of this kind in world literature in general. Along with the author’s deep knowledge and related research in the field of psychoanalysis and socionics, the material for creating this book was provided by unique historical and archival documents recently published by researchers of the biography, historical and state activities of the English king, Richard III from different countries and historical communities.< /p>
The author of the book, who gained access to these documents as a member of the Canadian branch of the Richard III Society, with deep love and sympathy for the main character describes the story of his life and heroic, tragic death, as well as the events and relationships of the people around him.< /p>
The book is also unique in that many discoveries made by its author in the process of historical and socionic research were subsequently confirmed by English scientists who examined the remains of Richard III (discovered a year after this book was written).
For example, Vera Stratievskaya’s statement was confirmed that Richard III was not born an ugly, hunchbacked, withered dwarf. As research data have shown, his height was 1m 74cm (if you do not take into account the curvature of the spine, which began to develop in him from adolescence due to unilateral loads on the lower back due to the fact that he began to wear a heavy two-handed sword at his belt). He had a beautiful face, corresponding to the best portraits of him during his lifetime, he did not have a hunchback or withered hands.
The psychological type of Richard III, determined by Vera Stratievskaya, also coincided with the psychotype of the real Richard III, which could be judged by physiognomic features of his face, reconstructed from the preserved skull. The study of the remains of Richard III fully confirmed the picture of his death described by Stratievskaya in this book: Richard was crushed by his horse while trying to jump from him, when the horse, having lost its horseshoes, began to fall on its side. This fact is confirmed by the split legs of his skeleton and the severed feet.
The book is also unique in that the author here not only defines the psychotypes of all the characters and points out the psychological signs that motivate them, but also with deep psychological accurately recreates the relationship between them, which explains the motivation for many of their psychological actions, which were hitherto unsolvable mysteries of history.
