Thomas Zünder, the author of this book, has performed more than 500 weddings and is a DJ. For all 12 years, he adored his job - until the gradual loss of hearing began to seriously affect his general well-being: he began to have severe attacks of dizziness right at his workplace, in the midst of parties. Realizing that his career was over, Thomas focused all his efforts on studying a small but important organ for every person, the ear. How does hearing actually function and how does the ear work? How do we understand where a sound is coming from: in front or behind? Is it normal for hearing to become dull with age? Why do many people hear noises that do not exist? Is it true that the brain perceives speech differently than music? Why do people at parties and on the radio want to listen to the same old hits over and over again? You will find answers to these and many other questions by reading the book “With All Ears.”
