The collection includes texts by Igor Sid devoted to the diverse and multi-level forms of human interaction with geographic space, territory and landscape: artistic essays and journalistic essays from 1993–2017, including from the author’s column “Geopoetics” in the “Russian Journal” ”, as well as research articles and some interviews. Some of the texts are provided with illustrations; a separate section contains an annotated photo album presenting a variety of cross-sections of geopoetic issues. Poet, essayist, researcher, traveler Igor Sid is an iconic figure in the field of geopoetics, the initiator of scientific and applied directions in it and the moderator of the dialogue between directions - literary, artistic, applied (projective) , scientific, and also between them and geopolitics. He worked as a biologist in the tropics and Antarctica, and as a guide in Madagascar. Founder of the Crimean Geopoetic Club, curator of the Bosporus Forum and many other innovative cultural projects. Organizer of the first international conferences on geopoetics and anthropology of travel.
