Time has its own memory - history. But history can perish if it is not passed on from generation to generation. That is why this story was written about a man living in the last century, my great-grandfather, Konstantin Vasilyevich Lyashkov, who, like many others, fought during the Great Patriotic War. My grandmother, the eldest daughter of my great-grandfather, Lyudmila Konstantinovna Lopatkina (Lyashkova), preserved the memory of him in her notebook notes. I found them so interesting that I decided to share what I wrote with you, dear reader.
