In short, the novel is about the hero and his search for another hero, and about the “ideal beloved” who can symbolically unite them, about her hypostases. From a literary and philosophical point of view, this is a novel that refers to Deleuze’s concept of the disintegration of the classical image into an ensemble of relationships, in particular the dispute between the heroes of the novel (adepts Proust and Rimbaud) about the opposition of the principles of reality and imagination. Stylistically, the novel was written “with an eye on” the discoveries of Joyce and the musical style of the English rock band “Emerson, Lake and Palmer”. From a psychoanalytic point of view, this is a novel about the fragmentation of personality. On the religious side, it’s about the search for freedom. From a social and moral perspective – about resistance to modern reality. Excerpts were published in NG, “Literary Russia”, on the sites of Network Literature and Art-Monster. In 2014, the manuscript of the novel received the NG “Nonconformism” award.
