Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky (1821–1881) is a Russian writer, thinker, philosopher and publicist. A gambler and political criminal, a neurotic and a philosopher, the “Russian Nietzsche” - F. Dostoevsky became one of those symbols of Russian culture that to this day determine the image of Russia throughout the world. One of the most famous writers of the 19th century, he never received the Nobel Prize or the Booker Prize, often lived in debt and sometimes barely made ends meet.
