18-year-old Sierra suffers in a foster family and misses her mother. The freedom-loving hippie witch abandoned her daughter for an unknown reason six years ago. Or maybe she didn’t give up, but, one way or another, she disappeared without a trace. Now the Sierra has only two joys: elemental magic and the ocean washing the Oregon coast. Sierra famously plays with the waves, spins hurricane funnels, and in between her escapades looks for work. The girl moves to Nell in the Californian city of Berkeley and plunges into the carefree atmosphere of the magical community. But the reckless Sierra scares even seasoned sorcerers because she is a walking disaster. Will Sierra be able to harness her gift and grow up a little?..
