Joseph Rudyard Kipling (1865–1936) is a classic of English literature. In 1907, Kipling becomes the first Englishman to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature. In the same year he received awards from the universities of Paris, Strasbourg, Athens and Toronto; also awarded honorary degrees from Oxford, Cambridge, Edinburgh and Durham Universities.
