Stanislav, sixties of the XIX century. A young lawyer and smuggler, Ignatius Kaminsky, during one of his duties accidentally falls into the hands of old letters in which his native city is mentioned as the heart of a knightly order, which set itself the goal of creating a political union of free countries - the restored Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The young writer's debut novel is dedicated to the search for the semi-mythical legacy of the city's founders, but the ancient secrets are not easy to solve - especially if someone still carefully guards them.
