Munich, 1941. At first glance, it seems that the two students - Hans Scholl and Alex Schmorell - have little in common, until one day they both run away from military training classes, preferring art and literature to standing at attention. Since then, a strong friendship has developed between them, and Hans becomes a regular guest at Russian evenings held in Alex’s house. But every day the war flares up more and more, as does the desire of young people to speak out against it. Yes, their idea is dangerous. And the risk increases when Hans's younger sister Sophie moves to Munich - she must under no circumstances find out about the resistance. Because it will cost everyone involved their lives. The White Rose student movement, organized by students at the University of Munich, did not last long, but the names of its participants will forever remain in history. “Tell Alex not to wait” is a documentary and therefore even more poignant novel about young people who were ready to give their lives in the name of their ideals, but at the same time it is a touching and humane story about friendship, love and indestructible hope.
