This book includes documents, memoirs and notes from eyewitnesses of the 1917 revolution: the Russian poet Alexander Blok, a member of the Provisional Government Commission to investigate the activities of the tsarist government, the English journalist R. Wilton, who visited the scene of the execution of the royal family in Yekaterinburg, and the officer of the General Staff of the Russian Army, General Yu. Danilov, who knew Nicholas II for a long time. Despite all the differences in the views of these authors on the role and figure of the last Russian emperor, their testimonies give the reader the opportunity to draw their own conclusion about the tragedy of February 1917 - July 1918
