The book contains for the first time the fantastic stories of the well-known in the 1890-1910s, but now largely forgotten poet and prose writer A. N. Budishchev (1867–1916). The romantic craving for the “mysterious” and “strange”, preserved from youth, natural science motives combined with religious mysticism and attention to the borderline states of the soul - all this is characteristic of the fantastic works of the writer, who is often called the successor of the traditions of F. Dostoevsky.
