Barney Godwin accidentally gets hold of banknotes stolen from the bank, and he rushes in search of all the bandits' loot ("The Boondock Woman"). The inventive Uncle Sagamore manages to distill moonshine right under the nose of the sheriff, and when they try to “grab him by the hand,” he always finds a way to avoid responsibility (“Uncle Sagamore and His Girls”). The couple rescues a frightened young man from the Orpheus yacht, but he turns out to be a dangerous madman (“Dead Calm”).
