The first part of the collection of stories by the famous emigration writer V. Ya. Iretsky (1882–1936) includes stories from the “Engravings” series, including a fully reproduced collection of the same name. These elegant historical fantasies were mostly written in Russia in the very early 1920s. The second part contains stories and a short story created in exile - things mainly of an adventurous and fantastic nature. All works are being republished for the first time. The book is supplemented with obituary essays by P. Pilsky and N. Volkovysky.
