The novel “Deviation” is magical realism, romantic love and vicious passion, occult practices and spiritual quests of Eldar (one of the main characters of “Luci”) in his youth, against the backdrop of the turbulent events of 1989 - 1993. To understand why Eldar became the way he is described in “Luci,” you need to read “Deviation.” In the third part of the novel, the feeling of guilt for “bad love” almost leads Eldar to the theological seminary in the winter of 1990.
