At the turn of the millennium, people believed in the most incredible natural disasters that could threaten all life on the planet. However, the catastrophe that destroyed human civilization turned out to be man-made. A terrible virus developed by the Nazis, escaped from military laboratories, killed most of humanity, and turned the rest into bloodthirsty madmen. The world has turned into a post-apocalyptic desert, in which the few healthy people who took refuge in underground shelters can barely survive. Kirill was the son of a high-ranking FSB officer. Therefore, when St. Petersburg was covered by a deadly virus that destroyed half of the world's population, Kirill's family received access to a special military bunker designed for the event of a nuclear war. However, the power in the bunker is gradually taken over by an army fanatic-maniac obsessed with the ideas of eugenics. Gradually, Kirill and his new friends begin to come to the conclusion that life outside, among mutants and infected marauders, may be safer than life in a bunker among rich madmen...
