The powerful and invincible border lord Tig from the Gwalchdu fortress receives messages written in blood threatening him and his people with violence. In search of an intruder, he goes to the Dameg forest and meets there a girl as beautiful as an angel. Hoping to rescue her hunting hawk, the beautiful savage climbs a tree, but, unable to resist, falls from a height into the arms of the lord. Tig takes the wounded stranger to the castle and locks her in his chambers, suspecting that she is involved in ominous messages. Under the constant care of the lord and his aunt, the captive is recovering. Between Tig and Anwen a feeling arises and gradually grows stronger, many times greater than passion. Having overcome mutual distrust, her hostility and his lust for power, having defeated a mysterious enemy, they truly find each other.
