Three friends experiencing financial difficulties decide to team up and open their own business. Having bought land in Serpukhov and set up an office there, the friends could not suspect the upcoming dangers. A severed human hand was discovered on the side of the road, the investigation is at a dead end, local residents are terrified: is there really a maniac operating in the area? But the situation is much more serious, and amateur detective Yakub Khikmatov comes into play, helped by his faithful business partners. But will Khikmatov be able to achieve justice? Or, perhaps, the corpse in the pond will remain unavenged forever? Editor's comment: The question of who the killer is is, of course, a very disturbing one.
